Terms of Use

Last updated October 31, 2026. Welcome to Grain by Joy. These terms explain how to use the free plans, workshop articles, and community pages shared here.

Plans and project information

The woodworking plans and articles are shared for learning and inspiration. You may read them and use the instructions to make your own projects. Please do not republish, sell, or present the site’s plans, drawings, writing, or photos as your own without permission. If you want to share a plan, link to its page on Grain by Joy.

Check every measurement against your actual materials, tools, and space before cutting or assembling. Use tools according to their manufacturers’ instructions, wear suitable safety equipment, and seek qualified help for steps beyond your experience. Projects and results vary; the site cannot promise a particular fit, outcome, or suitability for every use.

Makers Club submissions

When you submit a build, note, or photo, please share only material that you have the right to submit. You keep ownership of your work. By submitting it, you give Grain by Joy permission to review it and, if approved, display the submitted text, photos, and display name on the site in connection with that contribution. We may decline or remove submissions that are misleading, unsafe, inappropriate, or unrelated to the community. For a correction or removal request, visit Contact.

Other sites and updates

Links to other websites are provided for convenience. Their content and practices are controlled by their own operators. We may update these terms as the site grows; the date at the top of this page will reflect a revision.
